About this part

105148-1311 is supplied as a remanufactured replacement injector assembly. Cross-reference numbers: 105148-1311, MD196607. Application recorded for this part: PDN 4D56. In a common rail system the injector is the component that actually controls combustion. It holds back fuel at rail pressure and lifts for only a few milliseconds at a time, metering the exact quantity and breaking it into a fine spray so the charge ignites cleanly. When delivery drifts, the engine does not usually stop — it simply starts to burn fuel badly. What owners usually notice first: longer cranking, a rougher idle, more smoke than the engine used to produce, worse consumption, and occasionally a metallic knock that appears under load and clears once the engine is revved. Before replacing anything, distinguish injector faults from their look-alikes. Comparing return volume between cylinders and running a cut-out test on a diagnostic tool will show which cylinder is actually contributing — cheap checks that prevent replacing parts that were not faulty. Before fitting: clean the seat thoroughly, use new copper washers and seals, and torque the clamp to the engine manufacturer’s figure. Replace as a set where possible, and check whether the ECU needs the new units’ classification codes written in afterwards. Rebuild process: full teardown and measurement first, then replacement of all wear components, machining back to specification where required, followed by calibration and bench testing. The difference between this and a cleaned used part is the measurement and test record — we hold every unit to the specification for the part number, not just to 'it runs'. Test sheets available on request, and every unit ships with a 12-month warranty.
