About this part

1100100 is supplied as a remanufactured replacement fuel injection part. Cross-reference numbers: 1100100, 28599713, 1100100-ED95. Application recorded for this part: ED01. An injector is a high-speed valve. It has to hold back rail pressure, then open and close within a fraction of a crankshaft degree — several times per cycle on pilot-injection engines. Anything that alters opening behaviour, whether it is carbon on the tip, a worn needle or a tired solenoid, changes how the cylinder burns its charge. Typical signs are poor starting hot or cold depending on whether the unit is weeping or sticking, an idle that hunts or sounds uneven, smoke under acceleration, and sometimes a smell of diesel in the oil where an injector is leaking internally. Before replacing anything, distinguish injector faults from their look-alikes. Comparing return volume between cylinders and running a cut-out test on a diagnostic tool will show which cylinder is actually contributing — cheap checks that prevent replacing parts that were not faulty. Fit as a matched set rather than singly — one new injector among worn neighbours reproduces the uneven running you set out to cure. New sealing washers every time, clean seats, correct torque, and where applicable, program the injector codes into the ECU once fitted. How we build it: the unit is fully disassembled, cleaned and measured, not simply resealed. Wear items — seals, springs, and where clearance is out of specification the plunger and barrel or nozzle assemblies — are replaced rather than reused. Sealing faces and bores are re-machined back to original clearances, then the unit is calibrated and run on a bench with delivery, return flow, opening pressure and leakage recorded. Anything outside specification does not ship. Test sheets for your specific units are available on request. Covered by a 12-month warranty.
