332X1021 is supplied as a remanufactured replacement fuel injection part. Cross-reference numbers: 332X1021, 322X1021BR, B416810387. Application recorded for this part: F00B.L0P.047. An injector is a high-speed valve. It has to hold back rail pressure, then open and close within a fraction of a crankshaft degree — several times per cycle on pilot-injection engines. Anything that alters opening behaviour, whether it is carbon on the tip, a worn needle or a tired solenoid, changes how the cylinder burns its charge. Symptoms that point to injector wear include hard starting when hot, rough idle, white smoke at start-up or black smoke under load, a sharp knocking from one cylinder, increased fuel consumption and a gradual loss of power. Do a return-flow check before buying anything. Comparing leak-off volumes between cylinders takes minutes, and if one injector returns far more than its neighbours, that single test has answered the question. Before fitting: clean the seat thoroughly, use new copper washers and seals, and torque the clamp to the engine manufacturer’s figure. Replace as a set where possible, and check whether the ECU needs the new units’ classification codes written in afterwards. Rebuild process: full teardown and measurement first, then replacement of all wear components, machining back to specification where required, followed by calibration and bench testing. The difference between this and a cleaned used part is the measurement and test record — we hold every unit to the specification for the part number, not just to 'it runs'. Test sheets available on request, and every unit ships with a 12-month warranty.
