294000-0316 is supplied as a remanufactured replacement fuel injection pump. Cross-reference numbers: 294000-0316, 22100-0R010, 294000-0310. Application recorded for this part: HP3. This unit sets both quantity and timing for every cylinder. Modern engines depend on that timing being accurate to well under a degree, so internal wear that would once have been tolerated now shows up as smoke, noise and failed emissions checks. Look for extended cranking, especially hot, poor throttle response, smoke across the rev range, fluctuating idle speed, and a gradual rise in consumption that cannot be explained by duty cycle. Diagnose the supply side before blaming the pump. Restricted filters, a tired lift pump or air being drawn into the suction line will produce symptoms almost identical to internal pump wear, and are far cheaper to resolve. Set timing to the engine’s marks and never lever the pump into place — bar the engine over instead. Prime thoroughly, use a new mounting seal, verify lift pump supply pressure, and bleed before starting. A dry start is the fastest way to ruin a sound pump. Rebuilt rather than refurbished: full teardown and measurement, worn components replaced instead of cleaned and reused, sealing surfaces restored to specification, then bench calibration and testing. The record is what separates this from a used part — we can provide the test sheet for your order. Covered by a 12-month warranty.
